Barbara Dwyer Gunn is President and CEO of Seedco. A longtime nonprofit and government leader in New York City, Gunn’s career has focused on innovative program development, fundraising, operational management, and budget and financial oversight. She came to Seedco from the American Museum of Natural History in New York, where she served first as the Chief Financial Officer and later as the Senior Vice President for Operations and Government Relations.

Gunn’s career has been dedicated to defining and achieving strategic goals in complex, mission-driven organizations. From her earlier work in New York City government for the late mayor Edward Koch — where she held a number of positions including head of the Mayor’s Office of Operations — to her posts at the American Museum of Natural History, and now at Seedco, she has focused on evaluating and strengthening programs, and leading organizational change.

She earned a BA in English literature from the College of St. Rose in Albany and an MA in public administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
