Now all Maryland residents have the opportunity to buy affordable health insurance through Maryland Health Connection. Seedco is working with the State of Maryland to help consumers understand their options and purchase insurance.
Seedco and Maryland are working together to help consumers obtain affordable health insurance. Our efforts will allow individuals, families, and eventually small-business employees to shop for and obtain affordable insurance coverage. We will help consumers determine their eligibility for subsidies and public health insurance programs such as Medicaid, and walk them through the enrollment process.
Maryland consumers will be carefully guided through the new insurance marketplace by specially trained individuals. Seedco and its partner organizations are ready to answer your questions now and provide you with free, confidential, unbiased information about your options. The next open enrollment period begins November 15, 2014, for coverage effective January 1, 2015. IMPORTANT: Even if you are already enrolled, you need to re-enroll in order to have coverage after January 1, 2015. Open enrollment ends February 15, 2015. You may be eligible to enroll outside the open enrollment period in some circumstances, generally those affecting your household size or income. Enrollment in Medical Assistance is available all year for individuals and families who are income eligible.
