Summary:

Seedco began in New York City, and today the city is home to Seedco’s largest programs. Seedco manages an array of workforce development programs in New York City, as well as a network of 22 community-based organizations that provide workforce and benefits access services to residents in need.

Workforce Development Programs

  • Seedco operates the Career Pathways program in New York with funding from the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance.  Career Pathways enables job seekers to obtain industry-recognized credentials to secure initial job entry with the ultimate goal of facilitating advancement along a career pathway.
  • Seedco designed and operated its highly successful Dads at Work Program in New York City with funding from the New York State Office of Temporary and Disability Assistance.  Dads at Work helped more than 875 low-income, noncustodial parents obtain employment, connect to the formal child support system, and establish productive parenting relationships. Beginning in January 2012, Seedco will expand this work with a new $2.5 million Pathways to Responsible Fatherhood grant from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services/Administration for Children and Families. The program will serve 800 fathers annually.
