Seedco operates the One-Stop in Upper Manhattan, funded by the New York City Department of Small Business Services and the New York State Department of Labor. At the One-Stop, we offer a comprehensive package of employment and vocational training services – including assessment, job readiness, career counseling, referrals to approved skills training providers, job placement, and post-placement services – to a universal population of jobseekers.
Through the One-Stop, Seedco works in close collaboration with community-based organizations and high quality employers throughout New York City to ensure that jobseekers receive the necessary assistance to secure high quality employment opportunities with clear opportunities for career advancement. Serving approximately 166 jobseekers per week, the Seedco-operated One-Stop is one of the busiest in the state and nation. As a result of our comprehensive provision of employment services, we have placed over 4,300 individuals into jobs since April 2004.
