Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator

Bridges to Careers (B2C) is a program designed to provide supports to justice-involved young adults and is funded through the U.S. Department of Labor’s Employment and Training Administration (ETA). The program is designed to assist young adults with a history of justice involvement living in high-poverty, high-crime communities find sustainable jobs and advance in their careers.

The Recruitment & Engagement Coordinator will be responsible for outreach and recruitment activities for B2C and RISE.  He/She will communicate program benefits to potential participants and bring various service providers and community stakeholders to share information and resources. The Recruitment & Engagement Coordinator will provide oversight during the enrollment process and ensure a “soft-handoff” to the Program Managers and Case Managers to ensure that consistency and fidelity of programming is maintained. Confidentiality and appropriately preserving program documents are essential to this role. The Recruitment and Engagement Coordinator will expand and sustain community partnerships and referral sources for the programs.

The Recruitment & Engagement Coordinator will report directly to the Senior Director.

  1. Prepare and present program materials to participants as well as community groups.
  2. Act as a support and aid the appropriate team members in completing follow-up to capture participant referrals and outcomes.
  3. Maintain accountability, reliability and dependability when performing all assigned job duties.
  4. Plan and facilitate monthly participant meetings and partner meetings.
  5. Conduct outreach and recruitment efforts to ensure the program goals for each participant via each program are met.
  6. Maintain and grow effective collaborative relationships with other community agencies.
  7. Ensure the overall project goals, including number served, are met or exceeded.
  8. Instruct various sections of Seedco University.
  9. Connect participants with resources available in the community.



  1. Bachelor’s degree; Master’s preferred.
  2. At least 5 years of relevant experience in nonprofit management, nonprofit setting, workforce development, financial empowerment;
  3. Proven ability to recruit and retain participants in youth programs.
  4. Strong writing, analytical, interpersonal and communications skills required;
  5. Must be organized, detail oriented and have the ability to work effectively under pressure in both a team setting and individually;
  6. Must be able to manage multiple projects;
  7. Experience working with nonprofit organizations, community groups and/or with government contracts strongly preferred;
  8. Experience working in a data driven environment and demonstrates strong computer/database skills; and
  9. Experience working with young adults to build skills and achieve sustainable employment.



This job is performed under general office conditions and is not subject to any strenuous physical demands or dangerous conditions.


This position reports to the Senior Director.
