HOYER VISITS SEEDCO NAVIGATORS TO DISCUSS THE 2018 OPEN ENROLLMENT SEASON

November 27, 2017

WALDORF, MD – This afternoon, Congressman Steny H. Hoyer (MD-05) visited the Charles County Seedco Office at Health Partners to meet with navigators and discuss the current open enrollment period. As the designated navigators in Charles County, Seedco provides enrollment assistance for individuals using the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange, and has an office within Health Partners. Health Partners provides a range of low-cost health care services to residents of Charles County.

“I appreciated the opportunity to meet with navigators from Seedco and learn more about the important work Health Partners is doing in Charles County,” said Congressman Hoyer. “During this year’s short open enrollment season, it’s important that all Marylanders explore their options and sign up for health insurance for 2018. And while Republicans in Congress and the Trump Administration continue to undermine the law, I am committed to ensuring all Marylanders have access to health care that is affordable for their family.”

“Thanks to the Affordable Care Act, facilities like Health Partners are able to provide quality, affordable health care services to thousands of families in the Fifth District,” continued Congressman Hoyer. “I want to thank the dedicated navigators at Seedco, as well as the staff at Health Partners, for their contributions to the people of Charles County. I will continue to work with stakeholders in our communities to make sure more families in Maryland have access to affordable health care.”

The 2018 open enrollment season began on November 1 and continues through December 15. During this time, families in Maryland can renew their health insurance plans or enroll in new coverage. All Marylanders are encouraged to visit MarylandHealthConnection.govtoday to explore their options as some plans may have changed.
