Joan Painter oversees the Navigator program funded through the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange in the Upper Eastern and Southern regions and manages the Healthy Kids Program funded by the Center for Medicaid and Medicare Services, which operates in thirteen Maryland counties. Joan joined Seedco in 2014 after working on the Vermont Health Connection upon origination of the Affordable Care Act. Joan’s career includes progressive success in business, franchise, hospitality, and health care industries in strategic planning, development, marketing, and operating systems. Her commitment to social responsibility, community engagement, and volunteerism is influenced by a tenure at Ben & Jerry’s, where she worked with nonprofit organizations. Joan was also the founder of a consulting services business, representing numerous domestic and international companies. Joan has a B.S. in Social Work and has completed additional studies at Nova Southeastern University, the H. Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship.
