What’s new:

Seedco is Maryland’s Affordable Care Act partner

In April 2013 the Maryland Health Benefit Exchange (MHBE) announced that Seedco will manage its health insurance access programs in Harford, Cecil, Kent, Queen Anne’s, Talbot, Caroline, and Dorchester counties. Seedco’s partners will help consumers and small businesses choose and enroll in an affordable health insurance plan that meets their needs.

Beginning October 1, 2013 Seedco’s network of partner organizations, in cooperation with Maryland Health Connection, will provide education and enrollment services to the over 50,000 uninsured residents of the counties it serves. They will reach out to local communities to make sure residents have all the information necessary to apply for and obtain private or public health insurance coverage. During the education and enrollment process consumers will have the opportunity to be screened for the various benefits, subsidies, and tax credits available from the State and Federal governments including Medicaid and the Maryland Children’s Health Program.

Our partner network has a workforce of navigators and assisters who have been trained and certified for these tasks.

The Maryland Health Benefit Exchange will open for applications on October 1, 2013.  For continuous updates  and other consumer information please visit Maryland Health Connection.
